Dashing Through The Groves Fun Run
Ashlar Development and The Groves, one of Houston’s most sought-after, master-planned communities, located in northeast Houston will host a fun run to celebrate the opening of the new road connecting Madera Run and Woodland Hills Drive on December 8. With the new connection, drive time to Beltway 8 will be reduced to just a 5-minute commute for Groves resident, making The Groves one of the only master-planned communities within five minutes of the beltway. Residents and the public are invited to register for the holiday-themed fun run, which will include food trucks, music, drinks, giveaways, opportunities to donate, and more family-friendly activities. Race proceeds will benefit the YMCA of Greater Houston and Insperity Adaptive Sports Complex. The Complex provides children with disabilities and special needs a barrier-free environment to play and participate in team sports and features two Miracle League multipurpose fields. The race will start and end in the newly opened West Lake Middle School parking lot. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the 204,000 square foot middle school, which offers a premier S.T.E.A.M. education program. Located in the acclaimed Humble ISD with easy access to Beltway 8 and Hwy 59, The Groves is conveniently located to the backyard fun of Lake Houston, the shopping and recreation of The Galleria area and the business corridors of downtown Houston, The Woodlands and the Port of Houston.
