Robert Marmerstein named Chief Operating Officer at Kingwood Medical Center

Kingwood, TX, Jan. 10, 2017 —Kingwood Medical Center’s chief executive officer (CEO) Melinda Stephenson named Robert “Rob” Marmerstein the chief operating officer for Kingwood Medical Center. Marmerstein joined HCA in 2008 as associate chief operating officer and ethics & compliance officer for LewisGale Medical Center, a 506-bed acute care hospital. Most recently, Rob held the position of chief operating officer at Mainland Medical Center in HCA’s Gulf Coast Division.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Central Florida, and his master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University, and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. 
Before transitioning into healthcare, Rob began his career in the hospitality industry, working for Universal Studios and the Hard Rock Hotel at the Universal Orlando Resort.
