“We just couldn’t do what do we for our community without the generous support from our coalition of churches and organizations as well as the generosity of those in our community who support Pillars of the Community,” said Millie Garrison, HAAM executive director.

During the event, three Lake Houston-area couples will be honored as Pillars of the Community.  They are Byron and Ginger Bertrand, Darryal and Connie Chandler, and Frank and Marlene Kopta, all of Kingwood.

Pillars of the Community Presented by Insperity was founded in 2011 by HAAM Executive Director Millie Garrison and volunteer Connie Chandler to honor Lake Houston-area couples who faithfully volunteer and support HAAM and who have made a significant difference in the community.
