HUMBLE, TX—The Lake Houston Area Chamber’s program, Young Entrepreneurs and Professionals, or YEP, will celebrate its one-year anniversary on Thursday, September 14 from 6 to 10 p.m. at The Overlook with a Tacos and Tailgate Party sponsored by Insperity.

This free event will celebrate the past year of the program and serve to recruit new members. Attendees will be treated to two free tacos and two free drinks, whiskey tastings from Old Humble Distilling Company, a cornhole tournament, lawn games and a live stream of the Texans vs. Bengals pre-season football game thanks to Digital Network Associates.

YEP is the only young professionals program for ages 21 to 45 in the Lake Houston Area of its kind that brings together young minds for networking, civic engagement and professional development activities throughout the year. It boasts 100 members in its first year.

People who are interested in purchasing membership in the program are invited to this free event and are encouraged to bring friends, coworkers and spouses. The event will include information on the program’s three pillars of focus.

Discounted YEP memberships for 2018 are currently being sold until the night of the event at $45 for Chamber members and $70 for non-members. After the event, memberships will be sold at $50 for members and $75 for non-members. These memberships will not expire until December 31, 2018 and will include eight events throughout the year.

Though this event is free of charge, an RSVP is required. Register online at Lake or call the Chamber at (281) 446-2128.
