About Us
HOLOCAUST GARDEN OF REMEMBRANCE -- THE CROSSOVER PROJECT
Vision: to distill lessons of the Holocaust in a setting outside the walls of churches, synagogues, and educational institutions and use those lessons to expose the signs of impending genocide, enable visitors to recognize those warning signs in their own communities, and motivate them to take a stand against it
Mission: to illustrate the experiences of children at the Jasenovac Camp and other European camps during the Holocaust using painting, sculpture, music, and physical structures in a way that honors those who perished, serves as a memorial to the victims, educates visitors, and compels them to say, “Never again!” in their own communities.
How you can participate:
Donate: Funds are needed for the brick entrance gate, art panels, educational displays, commemorative sculptures, memorial garden landscaping, and benches. You may also donate in honor of loved ones who suffered or perished in the Holocaust, or in honor of a family member or friend who served as a rescuer.
Get involved: Invest your talents in research, planning, or publicity for this historical, educational project that highlights the experiences of children during the Holocaust. Bring hope to Holocaust survivors and their descendants by standing with them to say, “Never again will we allow such a thing to happen on our watch!”
Contact: E-mail Stephen Ege, project coordinator, for more information on how you can be of assistance. step
Location: King’s Harbor in Kingwood, Texas, along the waterfront
