State Representative Dan Huberty to Provide Recap of 87th Texas Legislative Session during Humble BizCom

Humble, TX— Elected officials and community leaders to deliver updates on Texas Legislature, area schools, infrastructure projects, and community developments at the Humble BizCom.
 
Business professionals and area residents are invited to join Partnership Lake Houston’s Humble BizCom at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 6 via Zoom. This event is free of charge for those who RSVP on LakeHouston.org.
 
Featured speakers and topics include:

  • Representative Dan Huberty, Texas State District 127, to provide a recap of the 87th Texas Legislative Session

  • Jason Stuebe, City Manager, City of Humble, to provide information on the ongoing improvements at Hirsch Park and city updates.

  • Chief Ken Theis, Humble Police Department, to provide an update on the department initiatives and community news.

  • Dr. Elizabeth Fagen, Superintendent, Humble ISD to review the 2018 bond referendum's progress, which includes new schools, rebuild of aging facilities, technology updates and general safety.

  • Jessica Beemer, Chief of Staff, Mayor Pro-Tem Martin's office to discuss the zoning plan, "Lake Houston Safety Plan." The purpose of the Lake Houston Safety Plan is to provide both Lake Houston residents and recreational visitors with information that will prepare them to identify their zoning location on the lake better and how to best report an incident to 9-1-1. 

  • Ben Allen, LEED AP, Partner, Archway Properties, to share updates on the progress at Park Air 59, the 111-acre mixed-use development. Archway incorporated retail, restaurants, Class A industrial and service-related uses into the development.

  • Terri Osborne, Principal, Humble High School, to share construction updates, spring sports highlights, class of 2021 activities and plans to return to school next year.

  • Nachelle Scott, Principal, Quest Early College High School, to provide updates on campus renovations, student scholarship opportunities, and college acceptance rates.
